Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet: Accelerating the Renewable Energy Transition

The IKEA Foundation is supporting the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to accelerate the shift to clean energy across key emerging economies including India, Indonesia, Brazil, and Vietnam. Through eight targeted projects, this grant will scale battery energy storage, unlock financing for last-mile energy access, and improve grid efficiency — with the potential to reduce more than 11 million tonnes of carbon emissions and expand clean energy access for 5.2 million people.
