The Earth Institute

Projects we fund

The IKEA Foundation funds two health and education projects in India aimed at improving the lives of millions of children. Both projects are part of the Earth Institute’s model districts programme.

The education project looks to improve access to education for children in rural India and find a successful model that could be replicated across the country. With the health project, the Earth Institute looks to lower the risk of maternal and child mortality, and improve the nutrition of women and children in rural India.

The IKEA Foundation funds the Earth Institute projects as part of our commitment to providing a healthy start in life  to millions of children and giving them a quality education  in order to create a better future for themselves and others.
