The IKEA Foundation believes that children’s basic needs are quite similar all over the world
Along with shelter, love and protection, every child needs food and water to survive. Access to medical care and basic sanitation help keep them healthy. When children can get a quality education and their families have a regular income, their life opportunities multiply.
To make real changes that last, the IKEA Foundation enters into long-term strategic partnerships and works in a comprehensive way by funding a range of programmes for families in the developing world to support their full circle of fundamental needs – home, health, education, protection, and a regular income – to help people help themselves, and ultimately take control of their own future.
