BUILDING A BETTER HOME FOR REFUGEE CHILDREN
We work with UNHCR, UNICEF, Refugee Housing and Refugees United to help children who have fled their homes due to conflict or disasters. Current programmes improve life in refugee camps, especially education, quality of housing and speed of response.

    EMPOWERING WOMEN AND GIRLS
Women are the most important catalysts for change for their children. Children whose mothers have no education are more likely to die before their first birthday, to be undernourished, and/or not go to school.

    FIGHTING CHILD LABOUR
Since 2000, the IKEA Foundation has committed €60 million to tackle the root causes of child labour in India and Pakistan, aiming to prevent children from working in the cotton, metalware and carpet industries.

Creating better opportunities for 100 million children

We're working toward a world where children living in poverty have more opportunities to create a better future for themselves and their families.

Thanks to IKEA’s dedicated co-workers and customers, we were able to donate €82 million in 2012 to fund children’s programmes in some of the world's poorest communities.

By 2015, 100 million children will have benefited from the programmes we fund.
